It’s your life – finding the right fit matters.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. You might scroll through profiles, read credentials, and still wonder, “Will this person really get me? Will I feel comfortable enough to open up?”
You’re not alone in that.
I know this process personally. I had to meet with a few therapists myself before I found someone who felt real, authentic, and human – someone I could finally be vulnerable with. That connection made all the difference in my own healing, and it’s why I’m so intentional about how I show up for my clients.
What you can expect from me.
I’m laid back, down-to-earth, and meet you exactly where you are – no pressure to have the “right” words or to be anywhere other than where you are today. My goal is to make this part easy: to create a space that feels safe, comfortable, and genuine, so you don’t have to perform or explain yourself away.
Healing happens in connection. If you’re looking for a therapist who shows up as a real person and walks alongside you, you may be in the right place.
I will use a combination of EMDR therapy, somatic work, and mindfulness techniques in an intensive format custom to your needs. I aim to help you process past trauma, reduce intrusive thoughts, rebuild your nervous system stability, strengthen your emotional resilience, improve self-compassion, and reconnect with yourself and others.
Intensive EMDR sessions allow for focused, powerful healing in a shorter timeframe – helping you make meaningful progress in just one or a few dedicated days.
Healing myself started my journey.
I was lost in life. My past was beginning to resurface in ways I could no longer ignore. I didn’t know where to start, but I knew I needed change. For a few years, I attempted therapy with a few different providers. I never stuck with it. I wanted to feel better fast, and progress seemed so slow. I became really good at making excuses on why I couldn’t continue. I would stop therapy when things seemed okay, and then boom, the past snuck back in again – back to therapy I went.
The weekly sessions never gave me what I was actually looking for. Don’t get me wrong, traditional therapy was meaningful to have a safe person validate my experiences; however, I wanted more. I needed more.
I learned about EMDR intensive therapy. Of course, at first I was skeptical thinking, “Will this really work for me?” But I felt desperate and jumped right in! I was able to do deep trauma work and experience significant healing without having to stretch the process out any longer. No more weekly therapy sessions for me. The experience was transformative for me and changed my belief on what is possible in trauma healing.
The impact of my own healing is what ultimately steered me toward EMDR intensives to help others heal from the most challenging parts of their past. I wanted to create an opportunity for people to experience meaningful healing in accelerated ways – not limited to the standard weekly office setting.
This dream led to Manes For Change.
I dreamed of creating a space for healing beyond the traditional office setting – a place that embraces the connection and calm that animals and nature can provide. With the help and support of my family, this vision became Manes For Change, where adults impacted by trauma or ongoing stress can rebuild resilience, process difficult memories, and rediscover hope and meaning.
To prepare, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Capella University and Master of Arts from Hazelden Betty Ford, then gained experience as a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Now, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I’m proud to offer a safe, supportive environment where clients can experience accelerated healing by processing trauma, release harmful patterns, and step into a more balanced and fulfilling life.
A Little More About Me.
Outside of work, I share life with my husband and our children, that came together through life’s journey. We live on a farm and enjoy our horses, chickens, cows, dog, and cat.
Much of my time is spent outdoors or on the go. Cheering on the kids from the side of the wrestling mats, attending their horse shows, and spending time in the garden are a few of my favorite things. I also enjoy the occasional snowmobiling adventure. I am proud to be a mom, wife, and therapist.
